In the past months, we have told you that the US National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) will carry Astronauts to the International Space Station, SpaceX. The most important factor in NASA’s decision to make such a decision was, of course, the price difference between SpaceX and its rival, Boeing. Accordingly, SpaceX had cost NASA $ 55 million to deliver NASA’s astronauts to the International Space Station. On the other hand, Boeing, the rival of SpaceX, pointed out almost twice this cost, $ 90 million. So NASA’s choice was for SpaceX. That is the expected explanation from NASA today. The manned Crew Dragon mission is on May 27: NASA made a new announcement today, following its announcement in the past months. The institution, which said that the first crew flight with SpaceX’s Crew Dragon vehicle last month will take place in May, clarified the date today. According to the statement made by NASA, astronauts who will go to the International Space Station with Crew Dragon will start the journey on 27 May. This flight, which will be the first crew flight of the United States for the last 10 years, will take two US astronauts to the International Space Station. Astronauts will be in SpaceX’s Crew Dragon capsule, while the rocket that will separate them from Earth will again be SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket. In the announcement by NASA, the names of the astronauts that will take place in Crew Dragon were also announced. According to the announcement, Robert Behnken and Douglas Hurley will travel with SpaceX’s Crew Dragon. The two will be transported to the International Space Station in Crew Dragon after leaving the Falcon 9 rocket. NASA’s launch SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket and Dragon capsule will use the Crewe with Turkey on May 27, 2020 at 23 hours will begin at 32. Launch will be from Kennedy Space Center. With this launch, the USA will not be using Russian-made Soyuz rockets for the first time since June 2011.
