Via Twitter, Garner revealed that at this time, he doesn’t know if the ongoing coronavirus pandemic will delay the highly anticipated movie. In fact, the producer suggests that no one knows at this time. With that said, Garner promises to share more information when he finds out about something.

— Todd Garner (@Todd_Garner) March 27, 2020 As you know, the coronavirus pandemic is causing many delays in the movies. So far, however, most of these delays are due to theaters being closed across the country, and the United States and much of the world practicing social distancing to curb COVID-19. That said, the pandemic is also impacting movies currently in pre-production, filming, and post-production. In other words, it’s safe to assume that movie delays for impending releases is just the beginning. The “Mortal Kombat” movie ended filming last fall. At the moment, it is in the post-production stage, which means it should be less affected than the films currently filming.
