Titled Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian, the documentary will be presented by executive producer Jon Favreau, who will tell details of the production over eight episodes. The cast and crew of the series will also appear, to talk about what it was like to be part of the Star Wars universe. “Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian is an opportunity for fans of the series to take a look inside and see a different perspective on the creation of the series, said Favreau. “We had a great experience on the series and look forward to sharing it with you.” According to a Lucasfilm statement, topics covered at Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian include “the filming process, the legacy of Star Wars, how the cast brought the characters to life, the innovative technology of the series, the art behind the models program’s effects, effects and creatures, as well as creative influences, iconic punctuation and connections to Star Wars characters and accessories from across the galaxy. ” The first episode of the documentary premieres on May 4 (the “Star Wars Day”), along with the ending to Star Wars: The Clone Wars. The remaining episodes will be released weekly, always on Fridays.
